I am a photojournalist and documentary photographer from Vilnius, Lithuania. My background consists of a curious blend of professional figure skating, film and Persian language studies, and almost a decade of life on the road anywhere from Nouakchott to Jakarta and from Helsinki to Khartoum. I am an alumnus of FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) and London Middlesex University, a member of the Lithuanian Photographers' Association and a recent graduate of VII academy masterclass “Photojournalism and Documentary Photography with Maciek Nabrdalik and Mary Gelman”. My work has been published in The Guardian, Le Monde, Stern Magazine, Libération, Lonely Planet, The Calvert Journal, Lrt.lt, Nara.lt, Chai Khana, Travel Africa Magazine, The Sun Magazine, Royal Photographic Society Journal Magazine and others. When not traveling I am based in Vilnius and work as a local fixer. I have worked with TV crews from Danish television channels DR and TV2 as well as fixed for publications such as Le Monde, Dagens Nyheter, Weekendavisen and Liberation.
